Most styles are one-size with an adjustable inner band (approx. 56–58 cm). Each product page notes the fit. If between sizes, size up — natural fibres relax slightly with wear.
Keep dry; reshape gently by hand. Store stuffed and flat, away from direct heat. Spot-clean with a barely damp cloth. Raffia and seagrass soften beautifully with age — that patina is the point.
Raffia, seagrass and abaca. A sun hat, not a rain hat: if it gets wet, blot with a towel and dry away from heat, brim flat. Dust with a soft brush. Never soak or machine-wash. To relax a crease, hold briefly over gentle steam and shape with your hands.
Wool felt and wool blends. Brush gently with a soft clothes brush, following the nap. Light rain is fine; dry naturally. Store on a rounded form or upside down on the crown, never on the brim.
Cashmere, alpaca and knits. Hand-wash cold with a wool detergent, press out water without wringing, dry flat. Fold, do not hang. Rabbit-hair pieces are best kept dry and brushed.
Linen caps. Spot-clean or hand-wash cold; reshape the peak while damp and dry flat.
Storing between seasons. Clean and dry first, stuff the crown with tissue, and keep in a box or cotton bag away from sunlight and damp. A cedar block keeps moths off the wool.
Our lightest colourways (natural, ivory, oat) can read differently between screens and daylight. Slight tonal variation between pieces is inherent to hand-woven fibre, not a defect.
